comfort is scheduled to arrive. they'll have more on good morning america. >>> let's take a look at our weather, here's justin. >> 6:30, just want to load up the maps we have from the u.s. geological survey. we have the worldwide network highlighting where the earthquake is taking place. 6.1, literally just minutes ago, out there. looks like little further east than port-au-prince, over towards the peninsula. but essentially we're checking out the shake map here. you can see where port-au-prince is located, just right there and the earthquake, again, about 12 miles underground, a little bit further to the east, needless to say, all those shock waves propagating themselves outward. we'll get more information with numerous cameras on the ground. we'll probably hear more reports coming up in the next half hour and again at good morning america. light sleet issues this morning. may have some pinging off your windshield and maybe even producing a glaze on steps, ramps and overpasses. we are above freezing for most places. about 33 degrees. light rain and sleet passing south of the city. this

to the arrest of paul meridge. accused of gunning down four family members. the viewer of "america's most wanted" recognized the description of the man and his car. authorities surrounded a small motel in long key, florida. >> i'm just happy that the family found closure. that's what i'm happy about. i'm happy that the family can now mourn, ok? >> meridge is accused of fatally shooting his twin sisters, a 6-year-old cousin, 79-year-old aunt at a family home in jupiter, florida. >>> matthew is just 13 but has an experience that will last a lifetime. the california teen went sledding with his family. he got lost. it got dark and matthew lost a glove, lost his shoes and a sock. he spent the night in freezing conditions. his parents started to fear the worst because matthew has no wilderness training and no survival skills. >> only 13 years old and it's below 15 out there. it's colder than it was in the truck. i just didn't think they would find him alive in the morning. >> i was being all quiet just staring at everyone. when they told -- what they told me is i was screaming i'm over here. >> afte

have to scale back some of the overhaul plans. good morning america will have more coming up at 7:00. >>> 5:32. do not worry about the future. we're in caring hands. young students want to show haiti some love. abc2 news sherrie johnson with card-loving kids. >> from adults to children, many are doing their part to help earthquake victims in haiti. students came up with a way to incorporate valentine's day into their giving. it's a program called sending love to haiti. the entire school from pre-k to 8th graders are making cards with 100% of the proceeds going to help those in haiti. teachers say this fund-raiser teaches kids about love, character and humanity. >> even though they're five years old, the project is from pre-k to 8th. they're excited about the difference they can make in a place that is far, far away. >> students will begin selling cards on monday until february 5th. the goal is to raise more than $1,000. in the studio, sherrie johnson abc2 news. >>> thousands of u.s. troops, rescuers and medical personnel have been streaming into haiti since the earthquake happened
